The question most people often ask is, who is Jennifer and where does the Pageant idea come from. Jennifer Achu-Tangyie was born In the Mother land of Africa, the country of Cameroon (city of Bamenda) where she attended Baptist High School Mankon. Jennifer and her family subsequently relocated to Boston MA, where she attended Brockton High school. She later headed off to College after Graduation and is currently residing in Dallas Texas working as a Cardiac R.N.
As a young Lady growing up, Jennifer has always shown interest in show business. She is known for her breath Taking Beauty, Spirituality and Positivity, not forgetting her dynamic and adventurous spirit. She is a Friendly Young lady and also very humble. She is very charming and pleasant. First impression when you meet Jennifer is one you will never forget. Her cool demeanor and determination to make a difference is what drove her in to the Pageant Industry.
After High school Jennifer Pursued a nursing career alongside with her modeling career. In the summer of 2001, she took part in a Miss Cameroon contest hosted in Dallas Texas and was crowned the winner. Jennifer started doing some Glamour photo shoots, runway shows, and appearing in numerous interviews in the Boston area. Jennifer has represented her continent Africa and her country Cameroon in various places, and has held titles including:

- Miss Black Beauty International 2005
- Miss Photogenic 2005
- Miss Cameroon USA 2001/2005
Jennifer strongly believes in inspiring young women through Education, beauty, and self-esteem to bring out the best in themselves, which creates Confident Leaders/role models.With a rich Cultural Background from Africa and inspiration from Miss Africa United states Pageant where serves as an Executive Assistant together with her multiple experiences, this beauty queen gave birth to the Miss Africa Texas Pageant, together with other Team Members. Her vision for this pageant is to bring together women of African descent and heritage from all corners of the globe – Africa, United States, Caribbean, West Indies just to name a few. This will give them an opportunity to compete, network, build pageantry experience, and at the same time learn about the culturally diverse and vast continent of Africa.
