Miracle is a community activist by way of donating resources to communities in need and Also, by volunteering her team and voice to build a better world. The most significant experience of her life is participating in the Miss Texas Africa, Africa and Miss USA Beauty, Educational and Humanitarian Pageant; of Which she holds the title of Miss Cameroon USA 2010 and Miss Texas 2011. Africa In her words, "Thus far, the experience has made me realize que I have a voice and a story to tell. I Have Become the driving force behind my platform "Fight Against Breast Ironing in Cameroon" (FABIIC) of Which I am the founder and President and, I am just amazed by the opportunity for leadership que the pageant has bestowed unto me.
" Her platform (FABIIC) Which is the brutal act of pounding and massaging the pubescent girl's breasts using heated objects, as a preventive method of sexual harassment and rape. This has expresso awareness for such practice to be eradicated in regions in Cameroon where it's on-going. She plans to file a petition to the Court of Appeal in Cameroon in an effort to make this practice legally banned. Beyond the social ongoing efforts through the media outlets such as Facebook, her organization is Actively seeking the support from newspaper and television journalists, with the hope of Increasing awareness. In 2010, "The Washington Post" published an article Concerning the practice of breast ironing. Since que article was published, Miracle has made efforts to contact the publisher to request for additional materials on this subject. She has Also Reached out to "The Houston Chronicle" and Several African magazines. More so, she has made efforts to have Breast ironing to be featured on The Tyra Banks Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and the Wendy Williams Show. Miracle is Also Actively creating movements on United States Universities campuses to educate American Youths, and to gather momentum on the subject. Her current project is to raise funds for an outreach to schools and villages in Cameroon, to educate young girls on the physical, psychological and mental consequências of breast ironing. With the help of supporters, she plans to offer alternatives to curb early pregnancy and rape and to teach free education. She Also plans to build a team to aid in the provision of first aid and healthcare remedies to help the victims. Miracle's commitment to the community is extraordinary and her efforts have Been greatly appreciated by the Individuals Whose lives she has touched. Miracle Edison is a spokesperson for Vital Education and Management Cooperation, a community activist and youth mentor at Zion Covenant Ministries Charity Organization, and the Ambassador for the Alice Fominyam Scholarship Foundation. She ADOPTED the Bread of Life Homeless Shelter in Houston TX into her foundation to help raise awareness about homelessness in America. Over the summer of 2010 and in 2011 she has raised and donated over 6,000 bottles of water, clothes and food to the bread of life homeless shelter based in Houston Texas. Miss Edison is the talk show host of "The Heart of Africa" on Channel 21, Urban Television Network. The program showcases African culture, cuisine, music, fashion. She is Also a talk show host on Millennium Broadcasting Channel, "MBC Voice" a community program que educates and INFORMS the masses about opportunities in Their community. She is the radio host of "It Takes Two" on Radio Zimcarib "It Takes Two". The show deals with daily challenges and cultural changes young African's face in America. She is the host of "Hot Topics in Houston" and serves on the board. Miss Edison, Miss Texas 2011 Africa still works on her foundation "The Fight against Breast ironing". She is a community activist, a fashion enthusiast, a leader and a passionate advocate for charitable organizations. |
