Last Friday I attended a beautiful conference. This was the InterNational Prisoners Family Conference where I was the opening speaker of the final day. This last day was dedicated to Prison's Family Voice. I spoke about my life and the struggles of children of incarcerated parents. I do this to put a spotlight on these children as they're often in the shadows. After speaking, I received overwhelming love and support from the attendees. I even witnessed amazing, inspirational stories of the turn around of former prisoners lives. It's always refreshing to see people who value and care about the same things you care about. I'm so glad there's a conference like this where people can come together, discuss and initiate a change. Growth is so beautiful, whether it's within or simply around me.

Back when I brought the lab to the Girls Conference! Loved doing my experiment for them! I had a great time at Big Brothers & Big Sisters' Girls Conference! The girls & their mentors seemed to really love my presentation as I related science to aspects of life. I hope the girls have a new found love for science & remember to be their own catalyst. Girls ROCK!
Blessed to be one of the speakers at the Big Brothers Big Sisters' annual Girls Conference. I'm honored to work with the Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization. Can't wait to meet the girls!
Queen Nkechi Amadi of Miss Africa Texas was spoted at the Owerri People’s Association Children Christmas Party last December 2015. It was a night with families, friends and supporters, celebrating her victory as the Queen and also gift time for the children and young people. VMP Studios was there to capture the moment. Enjoy!
So Saturday night this happened! I competed in the Miss Africa Texas Pageant, and it was an amazing experience! It was very nerve racking as this was my first time competing in a pageant. I had to constantly breakout in dance backstage just to keep my nerves down lol! (Bet You Can't Do It Like Me - DLow was my song! 😂) But I'm glad I did it! I am beyond proud of myself. I was the first queen to walk away with TWO crowns! I won the People's Choice Award AND was crowned Miss Africa Texas 2015 👑. For a little girl to walk up to me and tell me that she wants to be just like me, just lifted my spirit up! Thank you to everyone that helped and encouraged me on this journey. This was a win for my family & friends! Love y'all!
